Mixing Equipment
This section will discuss the hardware required for the agitator or static mixer you will need to perform the mixing task of your process.
Agitators require power whether it is air operated, electric or hydraulic. Next is the gear box design and selection. Bearings are designed for the correct bearing life and forces that are imparted by the rotating shaft and impeller thrust. Last but not the least shaft and impeller design.
Static mixers are more straight forward they are mixing devices installed inside a pipe with end connections and an injection point.
As always having the correct materials of construction will ensure longevity of your mixing equipment and succesful results.
One common problem occurs when communicating during the approval drawing process.
Both parties need to make sure the drawings are carefully reviewed before fabrication begins.
Mixing equipment are available in many design configurations
with just as many vendors.
